Meet the Pastor
"Hi, my name is Stephen Dice. My family and I moved to southern Illinois in early 2021 with the intention of starting a church in Carmi. God called us to Carmi in 2020 and after much prayer and counsel we started the journey. My wife and I have been married for 14 years and we have 4 children. I was called to preach as a young teenager and have been privileged to work in churches as a youth pastor and assistant pastor. I praise God for allowing me to Pastor at Liberty Baptist Church." -Pastor Stephen Dice
About our Church
Liberty Baptist Church is a new church plant started out of Grace Baptist Church in Raleigh, Illinois. Our goal is to share the gospel with the people of Carmi and the surrounding towns. We hope to be a blessing and encouragement to everyone who comes in the doors of LBC. We want our church to grow close to the Lord and in doing so, serve the Lord with our lives.
You Can Have a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ
Realize everyone is a sinner: Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
Realize that sin has a price that must be paid: Romans 6:23a "The wages of sin is death."
Understand that Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins: Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us."
Recognize the love of God in Jesus Christ's sacrifice: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Believe that Jesus rose again: Acts 2:24 "Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it."
Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior by faith: Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
